MY MAIN MUSICAL GENRES
MUSICAL THEATER
My main passion (or should I say obsession?), albeit a demanding one, but immensely rewarding.
A collaborative art form by definition, it provides a welcome relief to the proverbial solitude of the composer.
CLASSICAL
I've written a variety of pieces, like concertos, Ave Marias, or choral works. I find myself coming back to writing (and listening to) classical music periodically, as a way to find solace and reset my systems. There is something clearly therapeutic in drinking from those waters.

FILM SCORES
I've written film scores for several short films produced in Barcelona. Film scoring (both soundtracks and songs) is one of the most enjoyable areas for me, storytelling at its best. I never cease to be amazed at the raw power of music to describe, highlight and reinforce what audiences see on the screen and the whole range of emotions it evokes in them.

JAZZ
I barely dipped my toes in the genre, which I enjoy tremendously, but also have the utmost respect for. The jazz masters may rest in peace, knowing that I will not pose any threat to their legacy, and that whenever I attempted to emulate them, I meant no harm.

POP/ROCK
In my youth, I never had a chance to play in a band, even though I tried a couple of times.
I would like to think that later in life I have been able to write good songs in different genres for all the projects I have been involved in. They say it's never too late to start a band. Anyone interested?
COUNTRY
There's something special about country music. It has soul, authenticity, a certain raw edge, and joie de vivre. Its rhythms and melodies appeal to our most basic instincts, like passion, jealousy, love, fun, and always going straight for the heart. There are few musical things more passionate than a good ol´ country ballad.
COMMERCIAL VIDEOS
I've written jingles and soundtracks for a variety of corporate videos, as well as specially commissioned pieces for corporate events, trade shows and fashion shows (both music and lyrics).
